Bag2Charity offers a free doorstep collection service for books, so you can donate them to charity without a trip to the local charity shop or recycling point. Just pack them into a bag or box, leave them outside on your collection day, and we'll take care of the rest.

We will donate the proceeds to the charity of your choice.
We accept good condition fiction, non-fiction, children's books, and textbooks. Books should be free from damage, water marks, or missing pages. If you're donating a large number of boxes, just let us know when booking so we can plan accordingly.
Once collected, your books are sorted and either resold to raise funds for your chosen charity or redistributed for reuse. Either way, your donation helps fund vital work for UK charities including Human Appeal, Children's Air Ambulance, Kidney Research Yorkshire, and more.
When you book a collection, you choose which charity receives the proceeds from your donated items. Our current charity partners include Human Appeal, The Funzi and Bodo Trust, Kidney Research Yorkshire, Wendy's Wish, Fighting Ependymoma, Ragdolls UK, and SNOOP (Special Needs Objective Outreach Project). Each charity does vital work — from international humanitarian aid to local support for families and individuals across the UK. Every bag you donate makes a direct difference.
