About Funzi and Bodo Trust

The Funzi and Bodo Trust was founded by journalist Ashley Peatfield and his wife Sara, a teacher, after a visit to the island of Funzi in Kenya left them shocked by the poverty they saw there. What started as a small medical clinic has grown into two clinics with birthing rooms and a physiotherapy centre, two primary schools with libraries and computer training, and microloan support that helps local families become self-sufficient. The charity is run entirely by volunteers in the UK, which means the money raised goes directly to the people who need it.

Every bag of clothing you donate through Bag2Charity helps fund this work. Proceeds from your collection go straight to the Trust, supporting their clinics, schools, and self-sufficiency projects in Funzi and Bodo, Kenya.
